How We Got Started
Back in 2018, I was running informal budgeting sessions at the local community centre. People kept asking the same questions: "Why can't I stick to a budget?" and "How do I handle unexpected expenses without derailing everything?"
The problem wasn't that people didn't understand budgeting basics. They needed systems that worked when life got messy — when the car broke down, when work hours got cut, or when kids needed school supplies.
So we developed our monthly budgeting method around real scenarios. Not perfect spreadsheets, but flexible frameworks that bend without breaking. Our students learn to budget for the unexpected while still working toward their goals.
What started with eight people in a borrowed room now reaches families across Australia. But the core hasn't changed — we teach practical money management that actually works in everyday life.
